DMR radio programming question

Post by elliotg »

Hi all
Can anyone help? I have a Whistler TRX-1 and pick up a user on the following details

RX frequency 456.7250
Colour code 5
Group 90

I put this data into my Tytera MD380 and no audio came through at all. I have checked all data has been entered correctly. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

Elliot

Yeah i never really knew about RAS until reading about it the now. I guess that is out the door then as the MD380 as far as i know doesn't have RAS.

Thanks for your help mate

Ras is a Motorola only function.
If you have dsd+ latest version it shows if ras is in use.
It can’t decode the ras key

and also even tho its a Motorola function and if it is enabled you still can't hear the audio without the correct ras key even with a Motorola radio and nope tyt radios don't bypass this check either .

Elliot - two things spring to mind: (1) RAS that has already been covered by others, but also (2) are you 100% sure you have programmed the Tytera correctly? I assume the channel you are listening too is a DMR repeater. Many people forget that to monitor a repeater channel with a DMR transceiver, you must program the TX frequency to be different to the RX (456.725) frequency.
