Scanmaster TFA-10 Antenna In U.S.A.

Post by Lowboy23 »

I am in the United States and am having trouble purchasing a Nevada Radio Scanmaster TFA-10 antenna here. Nevada Radio does not ship to the U.S. Also, it does not have dealers or distributors here or anywhere else. Anyone out there know how I could get this antenna-new that is?

Hi and welcome to TM1.

The Scanmaster TFA-10 really is a generic item, it is just as it looks, a 10 section telescopic antenna with a BNC connector, no sorcery or magic included.

So unless for some reason only known to you that you absolutely have to have this brand, widen your search for 'telescopic (telescoping) BNC antenna'.

I'm sure there's loads of US sellers with them, but if you don't mind the slow boat from China then here's one totally at random.

I don't consider it such a generic antenna. Have you checked out the length. You are not going to find another bnc whip antenna longer than this one. It would cut down on the aluminium length I would be adding to it.

These people do a 50" BNC whip and I am sure they will post to the US:

my friend grafter, seems like you are using a very offensive tone in the reply.

Yes, I checked out the Rocket Radio antenna and am aware they ship to U.S. That is the kind of antenna I am looking for, a BNC connector telescopic whip, and it is just a little shorter than the TFA-10. The Buddipole has the wrong connector. If I cannot get the TFA-10, I think I will compromise and get the Diamond RH205. Thanks.

Of course I checked the length of it, that's why I linked to a 50" one when you're looking for a 53" one. Maplin do one, Bobs Redneck Radio Store will do one too, it is generic, it's a telescopic antenna with a BNC plug on the end, made in China and has no name, the end supplier gives it a name, Nevada decided to call their generic Chinese antenna the Scanmaster TFA-10, so, again, I would suggest you broaden your search away from Scanmaster TFA-10 and more towards keywords like 'telescopic antenna bnc' etc.

I made a post but it never appeared. The RR-112 comes as close as I can find in length to the TFA-10. I will check out Maplin and Redneck. Trust me, I have searched with those keywords and others. Thanks.
