Alinco DJX10 & Discriminator stuff

Post by pete_uk »

I have a Alinco DJ X10 which has a discriminator output in its 2.5mm clone/data jack. I have plugged a cable from this into my sound in plug on my Win7 PC. This is the same input that I plug my Yaesu ham radio into with its discriminator output. This works great with PDW for POCSAG and Flex, however the output from the Alinco sounds way to loud and distorted.

PDW is like 'What do you want me to do with this mess??'. Nothing is decoded.

I have tried altering the sound in volume but there is to much white noise and distortion. Does anyone have any ideas what I could try?

If this doesn't work I am planning to buy a old scanner that I can put a disc output in.

Thanks
