Okay noted thanks.
I see from the info I had for the shopwatch channel the group entry had the number " 16776415" I don't see this number entered within the info panel , is it just simply group 1 ?
As I say will write everything out as above and see how I get on.

that's a radio ID - and its used by any computer application attached to a radio.

it will be smartPTT or more commonly TRBO.NET.

If you use dsd you will see lots of tx and rx from that ID - the computer sits asking the subscriber radios 'are you switched on and in range'.

Be aware that the standard module in TRBO.NET will automatically attempt to stun off any radio that's not in its 'range' they use. Not sure if the zastone radio can be stunned ?

Oh how frustrating is this at times ?! at the risk off coming across as a total numpty guys anyone bear with me just a bit longer as seem to have come to a halt in programming in the above for my local shopwatch ch ?!

okay within the CPS dmr2 software on the left hand side I go down to " Channels information " when I expand this I get a large list off programmed channels say " su16 right down to GG420 " I am not sure how if I can simply add to this channel list with the local shopwatch ch or I have to edit one off the already programmed channels ? I tried editing one off the channels but when I try at the scan list entry it only gives a choice off " none or a 4 GB7 channels " how do I select scan list 1 in this field ?

Hover the curser over the 'Channels Information' folder, right-click and 'ADD' for a new channel. If you're doing a couple of channels with the same info but just a different TS then once one channel is done, single-click the channel on the left pane to highlight, right-click and COPY, then left-click on the next new channel down and right-click and PASTE, you can then do any minor alterations to the second channel manually.

You need to make yourself a new scanlist to scan the shopwatch (if you are using both TS), then best prcatice of making a new ZONE to put it in to keep it away from the other junk if your just in a SW mood, or lump it in with others on a different zone if you want a general scan of different channels.

Okay thanks yet again for your continued help guys, at this point I must say I am not finding things easy with the DMR side off things and must admitt to being envious off you others who seem to pick it all up so much easier !! going to give it a few days longer and if no joy then anyone looking for a brand new D900 please get in touch !!!

okay tried to add a new channel in my case 110 off 110, entered the shopwatch info as above and yet when it comes to the " group list field " the drop box gives a choice off " none, uk calls or TG9 S1 " how do I edit it to group list 1 ?

Don't give up, if a thicko like me can do it then anyone can. Does grouplist1 exist? if so then it should show on the dropdown in the channel. It can be a bit confusing when starting a codeplug from scratch as you need to create all your channels without the scanlist or grouplist (because the channels don't exist yet), then create the scanlist and grouplist, then go back to the channels and assign the grouplist and scanlist, a bit chicken and egg.

Are you starting from scratch? Sounds like you may have a generic ham codeplug in there which can be very confusing, personally I'd start a new one (but obviously save the current one)
If you post the frequency, CC and any TGs I can knock you up a quick 1 zone, 2channel (both TS) codeplug for your SW, you can then have a look at it to see how it was done.

Okay cheers have sent you a pm as will take you up on your kind offer to knock me up a new code plug with the two shopwatch channels required and maybe if oaky with yourself 8 x 446 MHz analogue channels and 8 x 446 MHz DMR channels. the code plug that I downloaded from the net obviously had all the amateur radio DMR channels but in all honest was not off any real interest to me.

thanks so much.

As discussed, just the SW in this one so you can see the structure and the relationship between all of the required info.

I don't think you can program it from the front (I may be wrong as never tried it) I think you can only edit existing information.

My 446 zone has 1-8 without scan, and I put in CH9 which scans 1-8, that way it doesn't whizz off scanning when a hit comes in, if you want to carry on listening or talk back then turn the dial on top to the channel that CH9 scan channel found the hit, hmmm, hope that makes some sort of sense.

Okay thanks your right no front panel programming available for non programmed channels.
Okay I now have the two shopwatch channels working fine thanks to your codeplug so that brilliant very impressed with the quality off the received audio.

Okay want to add the 8 analogue 446mhz channels next. Thought it would be a case off opening up the channel info and adding an analogue channel and writing it to the radio as channel number 3 but nope .

Any chance off a quick run down on adding the 446mhz 8 analogue channels with scan to the codeplug you supplied ?
