Car antenna VS Dual band Magmount?

hey all... im thinking my car antenna (which isn't DAB) just a standard car aerial, maybe causing issues for my mag mount? at the moment my mag mount is located to the right side of the car antenna spaced about a foot away but for some reason my DMR/scanner radio seems to go deaf... i remember someone mentioning a while back that the car antenna will cause issues? is this true? or is it my mag is useless ?

Hmm...the FM car aerial 'could' be desensitizing your mag-mount. Can you space the MM further from the car aerial? Check for kinked/crushed coax as well where it enters the car.
