UHF Pagers
Do hospitals still use these things?
I've got the whole of the Capacity Plus network mapped for my local hospital, five frequencies, eight possibly nine talkgroups and both timeslots, but all support staff like cleaners, security and maintenance etc.
I have been searching in vain for a POCSAG or FLEX signal from the place. Do the Drs and senior Nurses use mobile phones these days instead?

Yes, that was the irony, I've completely mapped a complex cap+ system but can't find a poxy FLEX signal.

Re: UHF Pagers
I have found hospital pagers in my area around 454.2500, I get data bursts and every now and again I get voice coming through on FM.

Same here. I hear pager noises and FM voice pages on the same frequency. They appear to be 25KHz as well!scottyboy wrote:I have found hospital pagers in my area around 454.2500, I get data bursts and every now and again I get voice coming through on FM.

Re: UHF Pagers
I will have a snoop about with closecall next time I'm in there.
Golay is a new one on me, is it decodable in the same manner as POCSAG and FLEX or should I give up now?
