Re: Broadnet Systems BN01
How exactly are they ripping people off? They are buying at X and selling at Y, thats just business.
They might be paying VAT and duty on the chinese price - which we dont even know what it is yet.
Also they add value with programming, support and warrentee (assuming that they do of course).

I will hold my judgment until we find out the actual price of the radio/phone, but I doubt it will be more than £120 including import duties. I doubt he is adding £100 of value to a product by installing Zello on it before sending...
There are similar products for sale on other websites such as alibaba for around 100-130 USD. In GBP that is a lot less. Based on this information, I think this product will turn out to be somewhere in the region of £80-100.

Support? He has folded 17 companies in the last few years... I doubt there will be much "support" in 3 years time.
I'm not sure what a "warrentee" is, but as I said, he has folded 17 companies and counting.
He is a box shifter, and doesn't know Android from Airwave.
No sympathy.

Where is the link?TRON wrote:

We have gone from Broadnet systems to broadnet uk ltd on a 6 year old document.
How are they the same company?
there is broadnetsystems, broadnet.systems, broadnet communications, broadnet.net the list goes on.
companies house lists several entries for broadnet systems, broadnet communications
The guy in the video's (which look like they are from a proper office, not a back bedroom) identifies himslf as 'Jay', the guy who has dissolved many companies is Neil James Clark. Same person? are we sure?

For those that don't understand how gypsies do business:
Register a new company called "D'ya like dags tree services".
Do one or two cash jobs for old ladies (no VAT) and then disolve the company before HMRC get you.

Register a new company called "Terrible partial 'T'th perriwinkle blue landscaping".
Do one or two cash jobs for old ladies (no VAT) and then disolve the company before HMRC get you.
Repeat untill you can afford a brand new transit van and £100,000 caravan.
Pick up and move somewhere new for a few years.
I Identify myself on here as "Tron"... Rest assured, it isn't my name.
If you have some solid intel on the box shifter please fill in the gaps.

I did see some of these other companies and they seem like entirely separate entities. One was based in Israel I believe. So I don't think they are run by the same person.

This is the broadnet jobbie:
Here is a similar one, but it doesn't do WiFi:
Different design, no info as of yet:
This has a 2MP camera, which is better than the above ones:

Brighton & Hove buses.
Why not put the new £200 phone IN his pocket to prevent some chav grabbing it or better still, the belt clip slipping / snapping and sending the handset crashing to the floor?
Oh.. we all KNOW why not. I'll bet they asked "if it will do beeep bop noises".

Not when I'm selling them AT COST with custom made Peter Jones cases, remote speaker mics, unterminated leads with pin out etc etc.
And you all know where to find me. I don't "dissolve" my website or web presence every 5 minutes.

Re: Broadnet Systems BN01
Until this thread started I'd not heard of Zello. Loaded it onto my works telephone today with my colleague and we were using it instead of the VHF, its quite good.
Then searched around for any radio groups, few scanner groups and a sussex downs repeater group - maybe someone will create a TX1 group, you never know
