The speakermike connections on the KG-UVD1 are normal Kenwood type - same as the Puxings.

The aerial socket is also the usual Chinese type - takes an SMA-F aerial.
Will the next movie in the series be The Fast and The Funeral?

that said, there are some variants of puxing progging leads that work with the UDV1-P , and some that dont

Specific Wouxun "KG" series leads all seem to work a1 first time.

so there is something different in the lead config, but Ive never pulled two apart to compare.

theyre cheap enough though !!

I should be getting my KG-UVD1P this week and have ordered a USB programming cable but don't think it is coming with any programming software. Do any of you have a link to download the programming software?

Cheers,

Richard

I bought mine from 409shop and yes the psu went up in smoke the wallwart started to smoke.
emailed 409 and they sent me a replacement wallwart and base no problem at all :)
The original base turned out to be OK so it was only the psu that had failed

Hi all,
I am interested i buying a pair of KG-UVD1P. I head that some Wouxun had porblem operating while the temperature was low (radio refusing to work altogether). Does anyone know if the latest UVD1P does suffer from similar problems? I plan to use mine for outdoor activities...
Cheers,
