Tait T2000 Simplex programming

Post by MrWeetabix »

Hello Chaps (and Chapesses!)

I have a T2000 (Model 2040) mobile radio which I am trying to re-program. I am struggling with programming the channels on it to use SIMPLEX rather than the trunking method it was used for previously. I bought the correct software and it is successfully talking to radio and getting the info from it, as well as writing data to it, as I;ve changed some minor settings, like names etc.

Does anyone have experience with these radios? HELP! :ugeek:

I can send the backup files I am playing with if anyone feels the urge to pile through it and help out a poor ignorant fool....

Failing that, if anyone wants to make an offer for the damnned thing (with matching PSU) I'd be open to offers! haha

I am trying to set it up for 4M FM work, but I think it may be the wrong band. I havent played with Tait gear before, so it's all fairly new to me. :geek:

What a thoroughly decent, downright charming, bloody nice bloke you are Fez me ould muckka!

Hahahaha, I figured it wouldn't be an issue, as I have my email info avaiable to all on the forum, but I guess that I am not really a forum nut, to be fair, this is the only one I use.

Can't look up the model number just now - 321 is VHF high band.

If that's UHF I might be interested.
Will the next movie in the series be The Fast and The Funeral?
