MD380 Headphones

Post by thelad »

Any ideas where i can get some headphones for my MD380 clone, wanting 2 ear buds or pods rather than a hands free kit or an addapter for 3.5mm jackplug??

Thanks in advance.

One thing i'd say is....
prepare to be deafened if you have the beeps and tones turned on.
cos they always play at full volume regardless of the audio volume setting.

I rolled my own adapter in the end.

2.5mm mono plug
3.5mm stereo inline socket from craplins

6" of screened lead

just wire the tip of the 2.5 to both L & R in the 3.5 , plus earth (ring) to earth job done!

works with all headphones

I would advise against using the "barrel" type adapter as they stick out the side of the radio a good inch
and a half which is a great way to ruin the socket by acting like a crowbar.

This would probably fit the bill too:

or buy some cheap ear buds , cut the plug off and re-wire to a 2.5 mono
