Radio Case for MD 380

Post by welshevo » 16 Jun 2015, 08:00

so the hunt continues... ive contacted peter jones who advised me they cant make a "one" off for these radios so anyone suggest anything? i have thought about the motorola MTP series case? but a bit of a pricey trial and error.... unless anybody knows a company that would make a one off?

i am at the moment Ben, but in wales its constantly raining so thought a nice case to keep it safe would be a better option ... after searching i have found that a Sepura SBP8000 case is near enough identical in size... so will be ordering one and testing that out...

Ah yeah true. I forgot it isn't waterproof. You can get generic radio cases on eBay, might be worth a look. They are designed to fit a wide range of radios.

here we go folks!

been a busy few weeks but finally managed to get round to tweaking my case! as you will see ive added speaker port holes, this has improved the audio slightly! and it isn't so muffled and distorted due to vibrating against the casing...all in all a superb case !! if anyone wants info then drop me a message :D   :ugeek:

I saw that 409shop are selling soft cases for these radios too. They might be a good, cheap alternative to a more expensive custom designed case.
The one in your photos does look very professional though.
