Worth a try If you've had any radio batteries in storage

Post by Scott_93 »

Ok, so a mate told me about this but PLEASE bear in mind this is done at YOUR OWN RISK.

Remove batteries, in my case from a maxon SL55 and any more you have from the radio and lay them out in a pile next to you. Next run cable from a radio PSU, in my case a 13.8 DC 20 amp, one positive (red), one negative (black) and hold the positive lead against the positive charging tab, and the same for negative (negative to negative) for a few seconds for each battery, then try each one in turn to see if they have any juice in or are completely fooked, throw the fooked ones away (responsibly) and then but the ones that have a bit of juice in on charge and they should last a good couple of years more, they won't be like new, but they'll do the job :)
