#FACEPALM..... You know when you read something but dont really process the info correctly? I thought it was this weekend just gone!

Right then, I'll be up for this actually. The question is, head for the hills, or go coastal? hmmmmmmm

I'd like to see you achieve that, in fact send me a link, I have a particular interest in the amplifier you plan to use ;)
Or is it sarcasm again

I may run a few watts more than the norm through a J pole on a mast.

It's a somewhat unsightly homebrew device (built by someone a lot smarter than me) based around a single mrfe6vp5600h chip, it gives out 400w with 4w-5w input and cost me the Princely sum of £35 about five years ago from a bring and buy, I believe that you'd be hard pushed to purchase just the chip for that if they're still made.

I believe you would, Jesus I hope that has a decent LPF on the end of it :o

I have a number of LDMOS units here that I had planned to combine in a future project, they run at 32v but I lost interest
They were a tenner each and are good for about 300w per unit. I stuggled to find a resonably priced splitter and looked at doing it with coax or on substrate but it never happened.
One day I'll return to the project but it will be for 432mhz not 446 of course.
These are mine, I bought 6 of them in case I blew the odd one or two ;)

I'll be putting out a few calls from Boston (Lincs), if anyone else in this area reads T1.
