That means they are digital, blue and red are unencrypted, blue and yellow mean encrypted.

Re: DMR (TDMA) 446
I am as thick as they come mate, I have only been dabbling with DMR for just over a year, it's only stuff I've picked up along the way, I have no idea about the nuts and bolts of it like some, just how to use it.gmham wrote:One day, just one day I might just know as much as you !!

Re: DMR (TDMA) 446
Obviously the main advantage of digital is that as it's 1s and 0s then the signal is either there or not there, there is that odd area where it goes 'daleky' like a GSM phone on the outer edge of a cell before passing to the next, so it doesn't taper off like analogue, the audio is just as good on the envelope edge as it is sitting next to the transmitter.
I've heard people suggest that they don't like the sound of DMR, but they obviously haven't listened to too much SSB wafting in and out.

Re: DMR (TDMA) 446
Okay programmed in one off the digital DMR channels on 446mhz on both radios ( 2x zastone d900 ) for some reason I can get any audio out off them. The green light will show on the receiving unit. Red light on transmitting radio, but just nothing audio wise...any ideas ?
Working fine on regular analogue 446mhz so obviously something wrong within my settings ?
Would post a screenshot off the settings but not sure how to on a windows PC ?

Re: DMR (TDMA) 446
Sorry been a while getting back to you guys following me question on why my two Zastone DM900`s were not communicating with each other on 446mhz when programmed with a digital channel, as I say they will light red on tx and the other will light green when receiving signal will just not sound the audio. anyone spot the mistake ?!

Re: DMR (TDMA) 446
Put a contact in the contact name. I don't know how you're transmitting without that, unless you're going into contacts every time.

Re: DMR (TDMA) 446
In theory you don't need a contact name if you have a defined grouplist.
