programming TYT UV8000D

Post by Bruin » 29 Aug 2015, 15:58

I've actually got windows 10 on my PC and laptop to install and recognise the Prolific cable that came with the radio and the com port shows as working fine.
I've opened the TYT programming program which also recognises the com port.
When I click to read or write to the radio I just get an activity bar hung at 0%.
Does anyone have any surggestions on how to proceed.
The radio came with 3 frequencies stored, 144.725 and 435.725 and all menu items work fine.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your ideas. The software is saying the same com port that I have the lead in and in the device manager the com port is saying up to date and no yellow tirangle.
The file in the link is the one I used.
The problem of the software not recognising the radio Happens both on the laptop and main pc, both are running Win 10.

Maybe windows 10 and that program just don't work together. Have you tried compatibility mode? If that doesn't work, can you try it on an older version of windows such as 8.1 or 7?

I Got it working.
When you click on Write to Radio you get a status bar at 0% with 2 boxes under it - one says OK and one says Cancel.
I waited for ages for the upload to begin but it never. Tonight I was determined to get it to work so tried again, clicked on Write to Radio then when the status bar came up....... I clicked on OK and it uploaded. Silly me hadn't click on the OK
Thanks for your help guys.
