PMR/Licence-Free DX reports 2014

Thought it would be nice to have a 2014 DX report page. If the mods can pin this, that would be great

Made contacts today handportable (on the north Cornish coast) on PMR Ch8 as there was tropo running.

Contacts with 163PX003 (Gower), 163CT062 (Swansea) and 26MB04/NiCdeth (Lundy). Also heard CTX104/Offplanet but he very quickly dropped out.

70cm all day, nothing..... So I go to channel 8 on the way back to the boat, just in case, and BOOM! Gower, Cornwall, fantastic! Would have been on 11m too but I forgot the mic... Thanks!

Irony isn't it. I tried 2m & 4m with portable 1/4w telescopic whip and got nothing. Switched my UHF handie (0.5 watt with 6" rubber duck) on and Wales was coming through on Ch8.

wouldnt mind trying an arranged contact with some of you guys, i'm in aberdare an have the choice of 3 mountains 1 with a clear view of cardiff (with binoculars) the others have line views towards swansea/neath
