Where did you see the encoder issue is fixed?

and the one in the picture is the R version with no volume on the Mic, i would be interested in trying the new firmware if it is available but there seems little difference as the spec seems the same as mine with v Full Duplex Cross-Band (Offset Frequency and Frequency Shift Direction programmable)

v Remote Control (Programmable for work mode, like Transceiver mode, Directional Repeating mode and Duplex Repeating mode)

v Remote Control (Programmable for reset function)

v Duplex Work (TX in the master band while RX in the sub band simultaneously)

v Automatic Fan (The fan is working once the radio powers on)

v Frequency/Channel Scan (Once the matching CTCSS or DCS is scanned, the speaker is ON. Otherwise, it keeps scanning)

mine has all the above plus stun and kill function i see that one does not mention it, i am not convinced , i think its a different region version as also my freq coverage is wider than the one on that page as mine goes in to the 200+ MHz on VHF, so i would love to cure the minor volume problem, but i dont want to lose coverage, it could be the page you linked needs updating fully and is showing only part of the spec. It could also be that mine has some sort of upgrade already?

Confused :?

Would love to hear from anyone that knows, but its still a great radio and any version is well worth the price i have had it a few months now and would not part with it.........

Okay thanks sorry should have said the upgrade list was simply copy and pasted from the description in this youtube video ( sorry its not english !! )

have been searching google on this subject and there are one or two interesting reviews etc showing up, there is a yahoo user group for this particular radio that may well prove to make interesting reading.

anyway so glad to hear you are happy enough with the radio itself, again will hopefully get one myself very soon.
