PA amp 70 megs motorola micro

Hi all
Has anyone here used the pa stage of above or simerla pmr rig, to up the power from a 28>70 megs transverter?
it uses mrf254 which i think be good up to 40 watts maybe, problem is i want to use it on ssb so i need some modifications to make the amp more linear they were designed for am fm inputs. i have a circuit of amp but not sure if its all worth it, ill attach a photo so u can see what i mean...
