I've had damaged units sent once, the secodary transformer cores where cracked and broken. Being a ferrite composition core there more brittle than traditional iron cores. I can only imagine they had been dropped or slammed down on a hard surface. Yes damaged goods very frustrating.

Picked up a XBOX 360 power brick for £1.50 at a car boot last week , Blade fuse fits perfect across the run terminals , saved cutting off the plug .
Rated 150 wat , 12.2 volt , 12.1 amp . Yet to try it for noise .

I think you'll be pleasantly supprised how good these are. I have run an 80 channel radio and a kl203p off one. I bought a lot of 8 of these for very little.

Be cool when its done, how loud where your fans whilst idle from the psu ? I'm looking at some older units at the moment. A lot less current than what you've got there, about 30 Amps rating.
