Here's my fishing rod (found) loop antenna...
37 feet of wire ish...£5 from for 25 mtrs....
two canes...center piece tie wrapped together
tie wrapped to rod...in X design...
that's 8 all together .......£1 shop...
insulation taped to frame.......
hit Australia with 10 watts with RoS...with this
and with 30 watts in voice....
cheap ...works and receives great around the bands
for the SDR receiver

Thursday night we had some high winds and when I got back home at about 4.30am I noticed the antenna was down. Looking at it the next day I was surprised to find the roach pole was still intact yet it was the aluminium pole that had kinked and bent over. This 30foot fishing pole is one strong piece of kit.
I was going to take it down anyway to ft a TL2 antenna and horizontal dipoles for ham bands so looks like mother nature has done this for me already to go.
