Metcal solder station

Post by JonC »

Hi all,
I did a bit of skip rummaging at work and pulled out an old Metcal mx500 solder station, including a load of tips, stand, PSU box and hand piece. When I plug the hand piece into the PSU the orange light comes on, I believe this indicates some form of fault. Does anybody on here have the same station and would be willing to test the hand piece for me? Theres no point searching for a new hand piece if the PSU box is dead.

Cheers
