The digital display has a line missing (the photo had been carefully taken on CH32 so as to look like it was working
)Most of all though it just doesnt rx or tx! I can only hear a very faint hiss when the volume is at 100% and when I key the mic I just get a crackling noise from the mic itself and the speaker in the CB.
Opened it up to have a look and see if it was anything really obvious and found it's been quite substantially modified. It's had a couple of plates of some kind soldered on, all sorts of resistors solderd all over the place, including quite a few to the casing. The Mic input pins have also been modded and soldered to the case.
Was just wondering if anyone can shed some light on what might have been the purpose of some of these mods? I'm not worried about the £8 I parted with - just interested what all these things may have once acheived.
