Hi guys
a friend has just given me a Kenwood Trio R-2000
now i ain't got the foggiest which arial im supposed to use on it
iv got it plugged into my 25-3000 discone
i can hear translantic but not all that good
what i want to ask is ..if i buy a g5rv half size .will that help ... it will be running about 5 ft above my roof
(that's if i can get the wife to put it up for me) :lol:

any advice would be welcome just remember im a novice when it comes to anything below 25mhz :shock:

Its not ideal ,
if its just receive you need then pop into b&q , homebase etc & get yourself a coil of bell wire for a couple of quid . A 10m coil will give you a 20m wire antenna when you split it .

the half size g5rv will work alot better than the discone. The discone is for stuff like vhf/uhf.
