...not a broadcaster...

In weekends there are some hobby broadcasters in Europe.
Dutch and Belgian pirates operates just above the legal 49m band - from approx 6200-6300 kHz.
A lot of music, some (drunk) talk, listener reports and greetings. Pretty amusing and sometimes very interesting.
I don't understand how they can work so regularly and with strong signals without getting caught! :)

OK, I assumed that the OP would like to listen to a bit more organised program content than the stupid people playing music at T5 SSB.
They just bother people at a pirate calling frequency - they don't send any programme content worth listening to.

HF/MF/LF broadcasters send their programmes in high quality AM.
Both legal and illegal broadcasting stations do care about their sound quality, program content and listening reports.
Simple CB pirates does not...

I used to enjoy listening to the FM pirates in the mid to late 90's, my kind of music - the rushed statement of "We will be right back" followed by radio silence and loss of carrier was amusing :)

Exactly! :)
...some of those guys kept their hobby and they are now bringing their shows to a bigger crowd at the short wave bands.
Listen out for them: Saturday nights is a good time to listen for them, the later the better is my experience.
Use the information found in the link provided further up to explore the bands for pirate broadcasters.

Since the propagations vary a lot I listen for them both on my own receiver and via online receivers.

I don't know if you are aware of the online receivers, but you will find many here:
http://www.websdr.org/
The station on top of the list is the very best for European stations.
You can also use it to monitor yourself or your friends when operating at lower frequencies.
