Hello Peeps,
I have a real fascination of vintage receivers and was wandering about the Zenith Trans Oceanic R7000.
I'm looking into replacing my general coverage shortwave receiver for something else, Just fancy a change.
I was looking for a suitable modern radio with a digital readout but I also have a hankering for the old vintage stuff too, it's not all about high tech for me, certain vintage models have a real appeal.
So, I was wandering if anybody has any experience of the old Zenith R7000, good or bad ?
Obviously, I understand that these old sets are probably in need of a good service so I've got to consider that aspect too.
Regards, Paul.

Re: Zenith Trans Oceanic.
If you find a Vega in good condition, grab it with both hands. I had a VEF-206 and it was practically indestructable. I picked up Australia, Vietnam and South Africa with no problem. And of, course, HCJB Quito.
