GOT THE SCANNER,NOW NEED A ANTENNA, HELP NEEDED
I have the scanner ( UNIDEN ubc785xlt ) i need a GOOD antenna for CIVIL and MILITARY air bands is there one out there or will i need two antennas to cover these bands ??? I know I have asked this question before but still i have not had much luck with antennas i have a 2/70 white stick up at the moment

I used to use a discone when I had my ubc800xlt and had good results on both civil and military airband. Of course a dedicated antenna for both would be better, but a good discone would do very well.

Personally, I'd invest in a wideband antenna, as wide a coverage as possible. I'd look at 0.50mhz to 1300 mhz coverage. It would receive both civil and military as well as cover other broadcasts you may also want to listen to.
They're around the £40 to £60 mark. Put it as high up as you're able to, and you'll find a world of difference.
