What would be the best steps for me to use for CIVIL and MILITARY air on my uniden ubc785xlt ??? 12.5 or 8.33 or what ???

I personally use 8.33 for Civil Air Band, and i think it's 25KHz for Military Air Band.

8.33 compatible radios are soon to be mandatory for VHF air band, at least in the aircraft.
Most ground stations are still 25.
12.5 isn't in the running.
