You were only a day late with the 'news'.
Both engines were running when it landed and the odd noise people reported was almost certainly the rat which could be seen deployed and running on the news footage on Friday.

The Rat, saved Gimly Glider in my opinion..... Great idea for whoever came up with it though :-)

Was it an engine restart in the air then? I oftern hear Jet 2 out of LBA reporting engine faults but they just get advice from the on call mechanic and they carry on.
