It will be RNLI South Queensferry open day they do a display with the Royal Navy Sea King (Rescue 177) from Prestwick.

During a real operation they usually use 156.0MHz for comms with the boats etc. Not sure if they would use this during a 'display' though...
This doc is quite interesting:

You should also put
449.5375
449.5875
449.6875
This is their on board comms that they use when talking to each other on the helicopter.

Comms were on 156.0 during the display/exercise but the Royal Navy Sea King was called off to a shout somewhere and a RAF one took it's place.

Excellent photo kr0ne. I managed to catch it going home as it was heading south over Musselburgh. To Boulmer?

its either the angle that photo was taken or the helicopter to me looks precariously close to that bridge, but I echo stu's comment that is one excellant photo krone.

That is a good photo. Standing on the road bridge would have been a great vantage point for a photo too and you'd have the rail bridge in the background. Presumably next year will be the last time a RAF/RN Sea King does the display, the following year it will be a Bristow Group S92 or AW189, if it happens at all.

Cheers guys!
Here's another couple for you. First, the lads on the Lifeboat:
And a little more heli-porn:
And finally, some tugs shooting their load:
Was a nice afternoon, lovely weather for it and they managed to raise over £2000 for Queensferry Lifeboat station.
The Lifeboat had just come in from the helicopter exercise when they were called out on a shout to a boat with engine failure. They were back posing for more photos before most people missed them though.
Busy little station.
