as above what are some invaluable books to purchace? do any include any milair info?

Would suggest both of the Airwaves 2013 books (callsign & freq guide) from photavia press, they due out about 12th april, i not reccomending them, but i have used them in the past an will be buying this years editions

In addition to the above check out "ABC of Air Traffic Control" by Graham Duke. It gives a good basic overview of the UK ATC system.
