I get an error message when I press the green button at the bottom of the window saying it failed to connect.
Have you allowed UDP traffic through port 9742 in your firewall/router?

(though there is no point in starting your trial until you have fixed your other problem)

Now joy with that, but I noticed RTL1090 was giving me a different port at the bottom of the window compared to the 'Config' menu, so I put that into PP and it works!

Thanks

Its quite good when you get into it. 2 RAF tankers heading southwest over Cirencester way, had a Tornado over wales and a Hawk over the Bristol Channel.

OOh, the Tornado is coming back.

No, it was 2 A10's

Could some nice person upload a screen shot of there settings (chart options) for PP? i seem to have cocked mine up some how and seems to not be showing a lot of aircraft, it keeps popping up saying XH558 Vulcan is around but its not showing up on the map view.

Your chart settings are probably fine.

Have you set an alert for the ICAO address of the vulcan? If so, the alert pop-up will show it BUT it will not show on the chart unless there is position info available (via multilateration, as I don't think it routinely transmits position data).

doing it via the reg, normaly works fine but the chart settings went back to default so I have set them up using bits and bats from other web sites, im using the online raw data.

An alert based on the reg would be the same. ie. if there is no position it won't appear on the chart

I don't think the vulcan transmits it's position - people have been relying on multilateration fixes.
