hi all.just found this site looks good.i have just got a uniden 800 xlt scanner i can not get the pc software to pick it up at all.when i had the 700xlt had to set up remote access do i need to do the same with the 800?.

you need to set which com port you are using and the baud rate ie 1900

Are you using a USB to serial converter or just straight to serial?

thx guys.am using a straight serial cable now.all seems ok.when i used the usb to serial adaptor on com 1 no joy .but now all ok thx againb mark
