Hi all, my office is in a building in a good location to install a scanner antennae on the roof. What I'd like to do ideally is install an appropriate antenna on the roof, cable it down into my office where I have a Windows 7 PC. It's pretty much always on, so I thought I could capture the audio from the scanner into the PC.
I pay for a shoutcast server as I run an internet radio station, so I thought I could stream directly to that so I could listen from home.
What's the best kit to use for this & maybe a tutorial?
Many thanks!

Re: Advice on setup for scanner into PC
if i was you i would use an SDR dongle, pipe the audio (virtually) from the SDR into shoutcast? however if you have a scanner already, i would just connect headphones out into PC mic in/ line in ...some scanners have a dedicated Spkr output ..i would use that but hey ... experiment and see what works for you... sorry if its a bit vague!
