Hi ive got a new laptop that only has 256mb of RAM, If I were to somehow copy the files from the big PC to the laptop would it run ok, or would it need more RAM?
It has a 1.4ghz processer too?

Windows 8 and windows 7.1 needs 1gig ram 32bit or 2gig ram 64 bit .
Vista requires 512mb ram .
Windows XP 64mb ram minimum 128mb is recommended ,Windows xp would work but its no longer covered by windows update , Linux would be your best bet and should work on 256mb ram .
