I have a Wouxun KG-UVD1P and my friend has a Baofeng uv-5.
I have the programming lead and software to save and restore stored freqs, is it possible to share these with him, I have downloaded Chirp and can export the files from there, if it's possible what format will the BAOFENG accept?
thanks, Rab

Re: Sharing data between Wouxun & Baofeng
Using CHIRP
Connect Wouxun
Download frequencies from memory
Export Wouxun.CSV
Connect Baofeng
Download frequencies from memory
Export Baofeng.CSV
Using a .CSV editor (Ron's Editor etc )compare the files and see if the column headings are the same.
If the column headings are the same, insert the frequencies from one file into the other at the appropriate place. You may have to increment the memory position yourself.
If the columns for each radio are different, you may have to do a bit of cutting and pasting 'columns headings' and entire columns to get the correct format for Wouxun.CSV and Baofeng.CSV
Reconnect each radio in turn
Download frequencies from memory
Import appropriate .CSV files (overwriting current memories)
Upload to radio
I did this with an FT857D and UV-5B, they both now use same VHF/UHF memories.
