Hi,
Does anyone know how i can get my pc to recognize my radio without the drivers?
i have searched the internet for them, but cannot find any .
My radio is the Icom ic-737 made in 1993 according to icom-uk, but icom do not have them due to it being discontinued some years back, they only have the manual and service guide on disk now which i already have, but not the drivers.
Best regards and 73's
Gary.

What drivers?? CI-Vis a serial port system, a USB CI-V uses the drivers for the particular serial to USB device in the lead. What are you trying to do? With what hardware? And what software? ?

Re: Radio drivers for pc ???
Hello,
What i want to do is connect my radio to my computer so that i can use SSTV and remotely use other options, but my computer does not recognize the radio, so therefore i cannot do what i want to.
Every time i plug the radio into the comp it tells me to download the software manually because it cannot do it automatically.

Re: Radio drivers for pc ???
it may be faulty?
Have you tried the drivers here:
http://www.ftdichip.com/FTDrivers.htm
It is also possible you have a faulty CI-V port on the radio?
Do you have serial ports on your PC? If you do a serial lead is so much more reliable. I put a serial card in my PC just to use with the radios.
