Hi,
Can anyone tell me if its a different cable I need to program the gm900 to what I use on the gm300's??

Different cables.

GM950 RIB to Radio

GM300 RIB to Radio

the radio connections are not the same.

just noticed that the pic is for the gm950...

it is still different from the gm300

...

Hi Lads, I got an rj45 to usb and installed the drivers provided. OK I had to use my
vista os computer. I was using gm350 programme and I connected cable to my
gm950 hey presto an error came up but when I pressed IGNORE the radio was read.
then I connected a gm350 to cable and told computer to wright to radio it wrote the channels from gm950 to the 350. i'm now just starting to delve deeper seting squelch,
mic gain just for starts....John
PS.. get the com port setup correctly to save a lot of headbanging lol
pps.. got 2 gm900's comeing next week

Yes Bill you are correct, my gm350 and gm950 programming leads are not the same as the gm300 and gm900, I've tried but not long enough to start pulling hair out

lol. its quite easy to get gm300 and gm900 cables off ebay. I think they are the same ones that fit 300's and 900's. cheers...John

I know have 3 gm900 and none of my gm350,gm950 cables are wired for them. I have now bought a cable for gm300 and have the programmes. I'm now going to programme them when I get the software. LUCK FORBIDDING LOL...cheers...John

Hi,

I'm after identifying the 25 PIN numbers on the gm900 as everything I come across states what the pins do but nothing in regards to the way the pins start from 1-25 if that makes sense as I'm wanting to interface one upto the M0AQC interfaces to control ptt,

Searching the net they's plenty info on the gm300's in regards to pics identifying the PIN numbers but nothing in relation to the gm900.
I'm hoping some of you guys can advice me or point me in the right direction :-)
