Back looks ok , but all sorts of strange things going on at the front .....

New face plate , and variable power along with the SWR CAL maybe ?

That inlay looks like the vinyl stick on type truck king used to sell 20 odd years ago as I had one and remember the print being slightly off center around the mode switch.

Looks like variable power used to be on the back where the sticker is. Why is one of the rivets on the serial number plate wrong?

Those controls look wrong too . They look like the ones off of the 148 GTL .

Serial number plate looks fishy. Dual control for SWR/CAL and variable power.

As well as the vinyl faceplates Truck King sold "clean up kits". Thess consisted of a faceplate, bezel (original non stepped Cobra type), new top and bottom cases and 14 new screws.

The control knobs in the kit were just like the ones pictured on that radio. So my guess is that someone, many morons ago, bought the full kit and fitted it to this radio.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

Forgot to mention the issue with the outer control knobs (squelch etc). The kits were supplied with three of these, but they were all coarse tune controls so the squelch and RF gain indicators were misaligned.

Looks like it's missing the positive wire.
