Please have a look at my latest review of the Onwa Argo 300 CB Radio.

Enjoy!

Re: Onwa Argo 300 Review
Nice! Funny how the TX and RX LED colours are the "wrong way around" as in the original Amstrad
I was kinda hoping it used the original power connector, as in the early Amstrads, as the manufacturer might be a source of new power leads for our old radios. Shame it uses one of those horrible encoders for the channel change, instead of a "proper" 40 channel switch.
With those modern innards, no easy way to put it on to UK 40
Imagine if the manufacturer made it into a multi norm CB. It would only take a bit of reprogramming. The six position band switch could be labelled as EU, UK, PL, DE, NZ and BR. None of that switch it off and on again malarkey when changing norms, and leave the 4w/7w as it is
A modern day Commtron Nato!

Sold mostly to shrimp boat operators in the bay of Thailand. After that ships South China Sea.
Now they buy AT-708 since the passing of the Argo

Users of them include ship crews... therefore are they called Argonauts? ; )
