President Grant Mk1 serial numbers

Post by 108EH002 »

After having a look on TM1,I have not been able to find a list of the serial numbers for the original President Grant CB radio.
I picked up a silver fronted President Grant today from a member on here (cheers Mr Psychopath),and the radio has been to see Nick -Black Spirit already 👍

The serial number for my radio is 03001186 and was manufactured in Taiwan R.O.C. = thanks in advance.
Plenty are talking worldwide on 27.555 usb,
Some are too far up their own @rse to admit it,
Many happen to know otherwise dx-ing test free,
Showing a complete lack of respect for the law.

Sorry. What exactly do you want to know. Is it the year ? If so it was made in 1980. The place you already know. Taiwan.

Cheers

It was the year of manufacture Sammy, and Claude the board is a PC 409AC and the radio has 4 push in buttons under the meter, with a CH9 led top left of vco.
I tried to upload photos of the insides Claude but just says "error file to large".I do not have a clue about phones/computers so no uploaded pics from me......again.

The leading number is "0". So 1980. 4 push buttons is the MB8719 PLL . There's an earlier 3 button version with the uPD858.
