I've seen some of those before whilst searching the US site for Cobra bits. I think he/she/they are a bit like our Jentec radios.

Whether it's factual or a load of BS, there's info about these radios on that Cobrawonkyshop website.

Designed in the UK apparently.

What the heck is that thing stuck on the back on top of the heatsink ? And the heatsink doesn't even cover the driver transistor area ! Bottom case has a chunk chopped away to make room for a switch !, And it will still go for stupid money, It was ahead of its time is no excuse to pay big money for a modified hacked up CB.

This is not for me, looks crudely finished and quite rough.
Although it will most likely fetch a small fortune.

I'm sure Ashtec had one of these many moons ago. This one looks to be a pile though.

Wasn't JD Custom a guy down in Surrey way that did all sorts of mod boards for radio's??

I seem to remember buying some Cybernet boards from Truck King in about 1988ish that gave UK and low 40 on 059/121 cybernets, and I'm sure that they were JD Customs.

I also have a vague memory of boards that put SSB onto UK legal rigs.... both Uniden and Cybernets......

Surely someone on here knows more about the guy??
