Tristar 747 RX problem

Post by pat »

Hi men

I have acquired a tristar 747 to use for my 11 meter stream.
While the TX is fine, the same can't be said about the RX,

It seems to be too strong, (audio distorted )

Would anyone know if this is an easy fix, EG turning a pod to reduce the sensitivity.

It has been moded already, wide banded, UK FM, 10kc shift, 5kc shift roger bleep (which was the LOC/DX button)

Thanks in advance

Pat

Is it too harsh on all modes or just SSB ? Its possible some golden screw driver has turned the AGC too high

SO, it was turned full clock wise.

I have backed it up to 10 o clock, seems to be okay,

Thanks again,
