For the reason of not allowing cb myths to spread unchecked,

Matchers/atu's don't just fool the transmitter or lower the transmitter output power,
they do more than that if you read articles from respected sources and take some field strength measurements,

its up to the reader to decide which camp Maxwell's or the other one is correct,

Watt ratings for tuners can be deceptive, it depends on the impedance often a complex impedance you are trying to match,
a 300w rated MFJ versatuner can arc at 100w or burn the band switch out when matching awkward loads.

"An antenna with a poor ground using few radials cannot have a support mast grounded to the radial common point (at least it shouldn't if designed properly) There is no exception to this!

Solid advise, have set swr for my preferred coverage.

At least I have now learnt more about the compromise of a antenna matcher.
All useful for future possible need especially if I move to stealth wires from verticals.
