President 3900

Post by cb4ever104 »

At least I presume that's what it is . I don't see it listed on the roger free site .

http://78roger.free.fr/president.htm

It definitely has that Taiwan "tint" about it , so I'm thinking early 90s , and probably just another 6 band EPT360013B clone ?

Don't see them that often to be honest , and I've never had one .

Didn't the silver Richard have a sticker as the President name ? I'll need to go and look.

Quite a rare beast.

My mistake then. The guy listed it as a 3900. The back of it should have a Richard plate on it. Shouldn't it ?

Not sure, the last Silver president Ronald I owned had no plate on it either.

I'm looking for that thread with the picture of all the Richards from a few years back . Had them one on top of the other . I thought the silver Richard was the 360FM that had the sticker over the 360FM ? There must have been 2 then ? I've only ever had the black one . Is this one 6 bands then ?

Was that Tim (Otter's) radio?

I seem to remember seeing it on ebay France and you helped him buy it as the seller wouldn't send to the UK.

It appears that in the picture Sammy posted initially some of the control's on the radio aren't original (inner dual pot controls). They look to be from a later 3900.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

Well spotted Andy :)

To be honest I haven't seen the back of it , so it might not even be a Richard .
