Yes you read that right guys. It's a thing to behold but, as you'd expect, the bidding is already going through the roof.

That's my radio. It's gone mad. Almost fifty watchers in the first two hours!

It's guaranteed to fetch a premium price. Hen's gold teeth come to mind.

Yeah trouble is the one I'm keeping out of the two I sooo want to use it but I know it will lose value the moment i do. I guess if I do I'll just have to keep it nice.

There will be a good few collectors keeping an eye on it that's for sure. The fact that it's an original early 1980's radio with the 13 serial number and not the later President version should make a noticeable difference the final price.

Best of luck with the sale. May she do well.

It's held steady at £230 since last night so that's the early bunch putting in their highest bids out of the way.

As we know, bidding on radio's like this reaches its peak within the last few seconds. I, for one, will be keeping a close eye on the final few minutes.

I'll pop in a guess of £375 and see how it goes.

£400+ ! Really ??

It's weird that the same radio without a box and in VGC condition would struggle to reach £60 . I bought my (pretty much NOS with missing manual) 360FM here in Spain for €49 . OK . It was a good price , but to me that radio is £100 tops . I mean it might not even work . I've had NOS stuff in the past that didn't work . Listing it as "NEW" is taking a huge risk slamjam . I would have listed it for Parts just to be on the safe side . I mean it's been sitting unused for 36 years . But then again you need to switch it on to check it , which then means that it's no longer new . Therein lies the dilema .

Anyway . I've no doubt that it'll go for silly money . Most things on Ebay seem to be going that way .

I wouldn't say they are especially rare, I had one myself. Ranger EPT360014B board, made in 1992. Only mine had a Dirler 3900 sticker over the 148GTL on the front.

There's one currently for sale on eBay UK although the radio is actually in Italy.

I also own one of these. Not a bad radio at all.

When stupid prices are asked the stupid are attracted simple as,but if the radio is from Yakencom and top of the range......the buyer is sensible with their overpriced purchase, aye right. If they can afford it good luck to them, but as long as it used for what it was made for.....to tx and rx and NOT left in its box.My radios are only in the box when I buy or sell them.
