It is a CRT superstar 3900 with a different front.

http://78roger.free.fr/crt/superstar_g_neptune.htm

They are decent old radio, with a board pretty much copied from the Cobra 148GTL-DX/Superstar 360FM

The main issue with them is a small amount of frequency drift as they warm up, noticeable on SSB. But other than that they work well once setup correctly.

The 3900HP is an outstanding radio which is not to be confused with the later CRT versions.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

Indeed whilst they have the same board number the Neptune is a newer radio so is likely to have lower quality components than the 3900HP

There is an older 5 , or 6 band Galaxy Neptune as well which are the decent radios. Same as the usual early 90s Taiwan EPT clones.

I remember with the Pluto the earlier (Better) version had Galaxy written on it where as the later version just has G.Pluto. The Neptune looks to be the same.
