Antenna like many other low budget. Lousy radial mounting system, corroding quickly.
I would get rid of screws which are used on radiating element and I would use ss hose clamps or better screws with nuts through the pipe.

I know of a few people around here with them including myself and they are great in my opinion.
Robust, work well and reliable.
I would advise that you add further waterproofing on the joins, electrical tape worked for me for the last 4 years it has been up.
They are certainly miles better than the usual Bacofoil Silver rods you usually get (which cost almost the same). Venom, Sigma, Scorpion, Hi-gain, etc.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

Hopefully it's marked (or you line the screw holes up if they're pre-drilled) and you usually adjust the second section up and down into the base section to swr them if it's like most "silver rods".

its not like the old silver rods, the screw holes are marked on each section, you swr it in with the tip/egg whisk section and the sizes are in the packaging for a set freq.

I put one up for a mate a few years ago and must say the build quality is much much better than the cheap crappy ones off ebay.

There is a table supplied with the antenna. I worked out the length for 27.555 and set it for that. SWR is good right across the normally used channels. They are not as widebanded as an A99, but they are not a dummy load with a radiating element attached...
