Anyone can clearly see that this is an early Jentec conversion and therefore worth millions of sov's on ebay ;)

A turd wrapped in glitter is a more fitting description of a fidelity 1000

In this day and age with hardly anybody else on locally, there’s no bleed over, no annoying clicking squelch, sensitive rx, good tx audio with a silver eagle and 100w boots, the fidelity cb1000fm is one of my favourite rigs
Snap em up while ya can lads, they’re a real Dx machine

Good TX audio on a Fidelity 1000 isn't something i have heard in the same sentence before.

Me and a local tried one out a couple of years back for a laugh, and the TX audio was woolly and had a constant hum.

That was with an echomaster plus.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

Didn't the bigger version of the fidelity 1000 (Wasn't fidelity branded) have an RF Gain that just turned the needle down?

Yes and a dimmer which turned the channel display down but not the s-meter.
