Did you wrap your swish curtain rails with wet string Dave ? , I've been told it works ....... ;)

No to be fair, but are give it a try thanx. Also read about swr grease I guess that's worth a try as well ........................

Ah, the good old swr grease. Turns any old sh1te into a top performing antenna. Any respectable antenna fiddler shouldn't be without a tub. :lol:

Well as us Scotsmen are known to like saving the odd penny or two decided to save my dosh and put an old cushcraft r6000 20-15-10 mtr vertical into service that I had kicking around the garage, in the process off cleaning it all up before launch day !! hopefully it will work okay but if not the buy it now button on the sirio 827 is still flashing away at me !!!
