Try a intek starship 34s /tornado 34 can be had fo cheap on fleabay...

John I wouldn't get any of the above. I would recommend a Magnum 257. They can be got for a small amount of money and work amazingly well.

2 versions available, the normal 257 and the 257HP. They are a good solid radio.
I will not be commanded, I will not be controlled.
n+1 the formula for working out how many radios you need with n being the current amount.

Had the albrecht 485s great little radio, i have never even heard of the intek. Looks like 3900 or dirland

Hi bro its a gd radio i like the looks of it too n heard it was a gd performer on 11m band :ugeek: you can find it on http://www.cbradio.nl they have radios for sale in forum or I would look on fleabay.it or fleabay.nl or get intouch with hans at muller electronics Germany or try.bensons.funktechnik.de

Want work some ssb dx get hf rig. It will outperform any CB hands down.
For 400-450$ you can get ic718 with dsp, very nice starter rig.
WE ARE MOTÖRHEAD, AND WE PLAY ROCK N' ROLL
You can't have too many antennas...

Thanks cb25, i should hope an hf rig will out perform any cb, but not looking for one, i like the classic cb. Radios, yes they are quirky. but the hf stuff are to much faffing arround to do the same thing the cb does on the same channels.
